W3 : (Extra credits) How do you feel about that? - No editor owns any article.

I personally very much agree that no editor will own any articles, and the contributions of editors will be edited or redistributed by other users. Why?

1) Vandalism will be resolved immediately.

Mistakes, editorial wars, all disputes are openly debated, and vandalism and other disputes on the website are also well documented. If vandalism does occur, Wikipedia will resolve it within five minutes, and you can also view the editing history of the vandal’s page.

2) Practice neutral view.

Articles on Wikipedia will not be signed, and contributors are also volunteers. Whether you call yourself a professor, use your real name, or use a pseudonym, your edits and arguments will be judged on their own merits. Therefore, Wikipedia requires that all important arguments in the article must indicate the source that can be verified, and editors are not allowed to publish personal conclusions. All editors must practice the "neutral point of view" principle; they must collect opinions that can be traced to reliable sources.

Therefore, the content of Wikipedia does not set up traditional copyright restrictions. On the contrary, the copyright using "free content authorization" is really goodAll texts and works created by users of Wikipedia can always be freely copied, modified and distributed by anyone. Then everyone can freely share all knowledge in the world. This is also one of the reasons why Wikipedia is popular.
