Why are you taking this class?/Kim Yoon(김윤)

I took Peter's class last semester, and I was able to improve my knowledge in many ways while working on Wikipedia. Also, I was able to improve my article by communicating with people through Wikipedia, a collective intelligence space. So far, I have never done a Wikipedia-based assignment in any class, and I could learn dealing with Wikipedia can be considered a very important skill. So I wanted to take Peter's class this time again. In particular, Wikipedia has a strong "task" image and there was a separate study in class, but when I saw this semester's lecture plan, which includes more about 'Wikipedia', I was more interested in it.

I want to actively exchange opinions with professor and other classmates through blogs and Wikipedia for this semester!

1. What did I learn while editing Wikipedia?  The most important thing I learned from editing Wikipedia is the joy of participating in collective intelligence. Before the class, I only used Wikipedia. But I was given the opportunity to edit Wikipedia through class. It is difficult than I expected to edit a steady every week. But I was pleasantly able to edit the idea that my hard work contributed to making a better encyclopedia. The joy felt when I found a topic that lacked explanation became the driving force for editing. I thought it was a small group of people and I thought it was their job to create a collective intelligence. However, as I edited, I realized that spontaneity and enjoyment were very important factors in creating Wikipedia. 2.
