I first got to know Wikipedia in class last semester globalization sociology. The Wikipedia system, which shares multiple knowledge and complements individuals, was impressive. I wanted to study and learn more about Wikipedia.

Wikipedia is also a representative collective intelligence. I want to analyze the characteristics of Wikipedia to improve my understanding of collective intelligence.


Through this class, I will learn more about collective intelligence and express it in English. And I will share various Wikipedia articles, share opinions with various people, and establish my views within them.

1. What did I learn while editing Wikipedia?  The most important thing I learned from editing Wikipedia is the joy of participating in collective intelligence. Before the class, I only used Wikipedia. But I was given the opportunity to edit Wikipedia through class. It is difficult than I expected to edit a steady every week. But I was pleasantly able to edit the idea that my hard work contributed to making a better encyclopedia. The joy felt when I found a topic that lacked explanation became the driving force for editing. I thought it was a small group of people and I thought it was their job to create a collective intelligence. However, as I edited, I realized that spontaneity and enjoyment were very important factors in creating Wikipedia. 2.
