W5.2 The Benevolent Dictator / 최재민

 summary

This article deals with leadership and roles in Wikipedia. The need for a benevolent dictator has emerged in many cases to reach unanimous or desirable agreements. Leaders have a great influence in community culture. They present the best way for others to work more easily or do something important. They also play a role in determining the rational methods created in the community. But they should be careful whether they are biased or wrong.
Like in Wikipedia, these leaders coordinate communities and have good influence.

interesting

I always think about Wikipedia and offline situations.
The role of a leader in Wikipedia?
Frankly, I am skeptical about the existence of the leader himself in Wikipedia.
I thought about what a leader would mean in online systems such as Wikipedia, and the article was impressive in explaining the importance of this leader.

discussion

Suddenly, I wondered, is there a clear difference between the roles of leaders in Wikipedia and leaders offline?
Also, what are the criteria for determining the leader of Wikipedia? Do you have qualifications?

Comments

  1. Although I don't know if leaders are qualified to participate in Wikipedia because it hasn't been long since I joined it, I think one of the leaders is a person who can mediate people well and is good at wiki editing. And I don't think leaders in Wikipedia are much different from those who have leadership in real life.
