W6: How important are contributions of a single individual in the sea of "collective intelligence"? / Park Chan Yonug (박찬영)
It is the individual who creates and
develops collective intelligence. Individuals and individuals gather to form a
majority, exchange information, and organize knowledge. Thus, individual
contributions are essential to creating collective intelligence. One of the
important characteristics of collective intelligence is diversity. In order for
diversity to be kept, many people's opinions are needed and it must be freely
shared. Therefore, many individual contributions help group intelligence
develop correctly. Many individual opinions in a group represent diversity. The higher the diversity, the wider the range of information. The quality of information is important in collective intelligence, but the amount of information is also important.
