W7.2 Good Faith Collaboration / Kim Yoon(김윤)

Summary

The third review I saw was by Susanna Chamberain.
The reviewer said Wikipedia is one of the non-profit organizations. Wikipedia soon spread around the world and became a web encyclopedia consisting of more than 10 million articles and 260 languages. The reviewer saw that Reagle's main concern was the tendency of Wikipedia participants to abide by the principle of "Do not attack new subscribers" that applies until today. He saw Wikipedia as providing experiments with features of the process of consensus in modern society. In many ways, the reviewer said that the book is a research book on idealism in the 21st century that can be seen through the lens of a single effort. It also said Wikipedia, an online community with various disagreements and divisions, nevertheless approaches the issue of creating accessible knowledge in a complex manner.

Interesting/Useful things

This review was a useful review because it included stories about not only the author, Reagle, but also the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales. Also, I could see the strengths and weaknesses of the reviewer who felt about the book, which helped me to look at the book more objectively.
