Why do people contribute to Wikipedia? / Kim Yoon(김윤)

There may be many reasons for this, but I think it's because people are social animals, and  Wikipedia has the advantage of gathering, discussing, talking and collaborating with people of various races, genders, and ages from all over the world. It is a kind of mutual cooperation, providing Wikipedia with my knowledge and some labor in good faith, while also gaining knowledge and communicating with other people at articles. I've created an article in Wikipedia in the past, and a few months later, I was notified that a foreigner added a reference to my article. I got an interesting feeling. In addition, I think people freely write and contribute articles on Wikipedia even though they are unpaid because they can register official articles under their names in Wikipedia about what they usually know and interested in.
