W10.1 Free-culture movement/Kim Yoon(김윤)

Summary

The Free Culture Movement is a movement that aims to use a person's content free of charge and in an open form without providing compensation to the author. This opposes the fact that copyright law is currently too restrictive. By the time copyright laws were strengthened in the United States in 1998, Lawrence Lessig delivered a speech in public, saying copyright interfered with cultural production, creation and innovation. In 2001, he founded Creative Commons. This is a creator protection system only in the scope of 'some'. Inspired by this, many students later established organizations and created a free culture movement. This movement extends to cultures and creations in all areas of software. On the other hand, there are people who oppose it out of concern for the rights of artists and creators.

Interesting

When I visit a blog or something, I often see this "CC" pattern, and it was useful and interesting to learn exactly what it meant, its history, and opinions at the opposite point.

Discussion

Recently, what to do with the technology's intellectual property rights over the Corona-19 vaccine is a hot topic. Do you think intellectual property rights should be restricted in this matter?
