W11 : Is quality subjective or objective?

In my opinion, the image quality is subjective.

People have different experiences and feelings in their lives. Their experiences and feelings usually affect their insights and values. So, each person has a different opinion when she or he sees something. Therefore, people assess the quality of the image differently. An image can be of high quality or low quality depending on the person. I think this can be a reason that there are tons of art styles such as Cubism, Abstractionism and so on.

Moreover, the image quality is determined by a certain circumstance. Let me give you an example, Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia, which takes information so important. So, when you upload an image in Wikipedia, the image needs to be clear and recognizable to give you a high quality of information. If you upload a blurred and poorly recognized image, the image is necessarily of low quality in Wikipedia. However, this image can be of high quality on Instagram or Facebook if the image stimulates many people’s emotions.

So, these are the reasons why I think that image quality is subjective. Is there anyone who thinks the image quality is objective? Then, please let me know your opinion!
