W11: Thoughts after reading "Commons:FAQ" . WANG XIAOLING, 왕효령

 1) Summary

I have always had questions about how to upload pictures on Wikipedia, because when I was editing Wikipedia, I tried to upload the picture, but after uploading it, it was deleted after a few days. Wikipedia replied that I did not use the correct license. But after reading "Common Points: Frequently Asked Questions", it summarizes common questions in Wikimedia Commons and provides short answers and links to background pages. that give me a more detailed understanding of project issues, copyright issues, technical issues and public community issues. I was impressed. Once I understood the process of how to upload pictures, I successfully uploaded pictures on Wikimedia Commons immediately. I find it very interesting and a sense of accomplishment.

2) Interesting point

I used to think that only pictures can be uploaded on Wikipedia, but videos can also be uploaded, which surprised me. What's more amazing is that you can also translate video subtitles. Wikipedia is really too powerful!

3) Discussion point

After I read it, it helped me a lot. Do you think it will help you?

Comments

  1. I read your writing well. I think I have learned a lot from this material, too. This material has a detailed description of the image to be uploaded, so I could learn about copyrights and how to organize the images.
