W11. Is quality subjective or objective?/ MINJI JEONG
-Is quality subjective or objective?
Quality is based on objective standards, but I think it is more subjective. First of all, there are definitely quality standards selected by consumer organizations, countries, and companies. Quality is assessed according to those criteria. But furthermore, the quality is subjective. It is because quality is the area of judgment unique to users. You can find different feelings and reviews about a particular product.
For example, the consumer's reaction to a Dyson dryer. Some say that expensive hairdryers perform well, and others say they don't feel special compared to the price range. This results from different standards of satisfaction for each individual. Therefore, the quality is based on objectivity, but I think it is a bit closer to the subjective area.
