W14: Wikipidia : Did You Know - KIM JINA

 1. Summary

On Wikipedia, DYK is a section of the main page, showing new or expanded articles selected through informal reviews. DYK appeared on its first main page on February 22, 2004. DYK consists of a series of "hooks", which are interesting facts taken from Wikipedia's newest content, of the format "Did you know that...?" Thus, to nominate something to appear on DYK, an editor must either write or identify new content (see below for what qualifies as "new") and propose an interesting "hook".

    I agree that the basic conditions of dyk are tricky. Of course I know it has to be tricky! It was nice to learn more about Wikipedia's functions through this topic.
