W4. What are the pros and cons of using Naver versus Google for research purposes? / MINJI JEONG
Naver and Google have significant differences. First of all, I think the first screen of the two websites clearly shows their personalities. Naver includes a variety of news and information such as recent news, shopping, and recent popular posts. On the other hand, Google has a neat white background with a search box. (You can also see a small account and email at the top of the page. )
Furthermore, I think the information that is usually dealt with is also very different in characteristic. Naver mainly consists of useful information related to daily life, news from countries or cities. We usually use Naver search engine a lot when we search restaurants or hospitals around our homes and when we search for reviews of things. However, Google mainly contains objective and academic information. When students prepare for assignments or exams, they can find out mainly through Google search engines.
Therefore, I think it is too much to consider the two as comparisons. I think it would be wise to use the search engine you need, considering the time and circumstances.
