The Pursuit of the Universal Encyclopedia / Choi JaeMin (최재민)
summary
There were some people who created Wikipedia with a clear purpose in creating it. In particular, the goal of creating an encyclopedia for students is to create Wikipedia today.
interesting
It was most impressive that there was a goal to contribute to students in creating Wikipedia. As a same student, I definitely prefer dictionaries like Wikipedia, which can communicate more and interact with others than general dictionaries that are hard and difficult. I think this purpose of Wikipedia has made them one of the most influential encyclopedias of today.
discussion
I wonder what Wikipedia is better than other Internet encyclopedias, and what's good about it is that it will continue to be a positive competitive force as a knowledge portal.
In fact, I've been using Wikipedia, and it hasn't been that long since I got any information from it, but I think there's definitely something better about it than a regular encyclopedia.
ReplyDeleteThe information on Wikipedia is alive. For example, let's think of Naver, which we still use a lot. If you type the word in the search box we search for, we can find out the definition and history and so on. But if you look at the date of generating information under the text, it's often quite old information. Of course, I think the information that comes out like this is still useful, but I think it's some 'dead information'. Wikipedia, on the other hand, is a topic that a lot of people take on and discuss content improvement. The hyperlink continues to be created, images are added, and errors created by someone else are corrected in a few days by other people. So we can get 'living' information from Wikipedia.
