W6.2 Conclusion: "A Globe in Accord" / Kim Yoon(김윤)

Summary

Writer says Wikipedia should not be remembered simply as 'neutrality', but should recognize things like universalism, openness, and collaboration among users together. Wikipedia is an open content production community, where users sometimes experience ignorance, fear of incompetence, fear of tyranny, and manipulative difficulties. They are surprisingly good at justifying and rationalizing mistakes in this process and show relatively less goodwill when judging others. For example, they sometimes go further in the debate and call each other the Nazis. Through this transitional growing pain, Wikipedia is growing and improving.
There is still a discussion on whether many of the features in Wikipedia are sufficient elements. But writer says Wikipedia, which is always a groundbreaking and surprising phenomenon, will be considered a legacy over time.

Interesting

I don't think Wikipedia will continue to go downhill in the future because users gather here freely to discuss, write articles, and develop articles!

Discussion

As a democratic citizen, what do you think is the most important thing that we must keep in mind when participating in collaboration at Wikipedia?
