W12 How do Wikipedians determine "quality"?

Shinhee Kim

I think the source is the most important part of the Wikipedians when judging quality. No matter how new and good the content brought by that person, the quality will inevitably deteriorate if the content is not consistent with the content of the source or is difficult to trust when the source is actually entered. Even if the thesis is the same, the institution that issued the thesis is important, and I think it is important to distinguish reliable media companies among numerous articles. I think that these judgments judge the quality of writing according to the permitted ranges in accordance with their own cultural standards, as the categories allowed in the culture in which people live are different.

Another thing I think is that quality is determined by whether it has various components that fit the subject of the writing. It will also be important to have the content that people can read and make correct judgments according to the subject, such as the subject of the article, the history, the actual case, the controversy, and so on. It is not fake, but an article that contains only one position will not receive a good score.

Then, how should Wikipedia judge quality when there is a conflict about quality due to different cultures?
