W15 : What did I learn while editing Wikipedia?/YANG RUIXIN 양서영
I think Wikipedia has taught me knowledge management and many friends want to know what the best knowledge management is. The fact that the world's strongest knowledge management program has never been shaken in decades is Wikipedia.
1. does a lot of intercorrelation between knowledge.
Just like "fruit", "banana", "fruit plantation", these are three different concepts, Wikipedia can not only explain its own characteristics but also in the content. We can understand the relevant knowledge through the link to the encyclopedia page. Wikipedia can clearly explain a single concept of knowledge and associate the knowledge in the form of a link so that the knowledge will form a network architecture in our brain, and our understanding and memory will be clearer.
It reminds me of this toy that often plays with my family. " Story Cubes』, the six sides of each dice draw one thing. The playing method is to make a story for everyone after the dice roll out. In fact, our human skills are here, as long as your imagination is rich enough, no matter what the order of things can tell interesting stories.
2.Find the root causes and extend
We humans have always used the organizational structure to understand the world and information, we believe that the country must contain the city, the city must contain blocks, or the product must contain packaging, and packaging must first brand. Actually, this is the mesh structure. However, we should clearly know that all human knowledge is gathered through the accumulation of many predecessors, and then through the combination and association of predecessors, a single concept will be extended in more dimensions and depth.
Whether we write an article or make a speech, if we can only make great truth, rarely give examples and authority, and it is difficult to tell you how to practice it, because of this lack of tracing back and drawing inferences from one example in the process of collecting and learning knowledge. We do not understand the root causes and will not apply to the extension.
But if we learn this, when we understand the structure of things themselves, more new combinations of arrangements.
For example, in psychology, economics, and the treatment of diseases, knowledge itself is single, and every time we use them, knowledge has meaning and more possibilities.
So we should use Wikipedia as an example for building and managing our knowledge system. While we cannot do it as well as it is, learning the spirit of Wikipedia is of great benefit to our daily practice of personal knowledge management.
